Description:
Australian Rules Football is the holy grail of sports down under. Fans are passionately devoted to the game. For many, it’s like a religion. But where there’s passion, there’s also mishaps. AAMI, Australia’s biggest insurance company, and major broadcast sponsor, knew that nothing should get in the way of enjoying the game.
So, in partnership with the Australian Football League (AFL) and Mastercard, they decided to create a new and innovative type of insurance. One solely developed for the fans. One that meant, whatever happened, nothing would ruin their game experience.
Introducing AAMI Fansurance, ensuring every Aussie Rules fans’ game experience was a happy one, by insuring every single one of them for any off-field mishaps. And we mean any. Dropped your pie, spilt your beer, sauced your guernsey, lost your game ticket, now you were covered for it.
It didn’t matter if you won or lost, it didn’t even matter if you weren’t an AAMI customer, now every single fan could redeem $100 for an off-field mishap. Since when has an insurance company paid out with no policy required? Since now.
Partnering with Mastercard, AAMI developed a simple and easy in-game redemption process. The very second an off-field mishap occurred, fans simply scanned and submitted their mishap via their Smartphone. Once approved, they received an $100 refund via the Mastercard Fansurance credit. Payouts with no insurance policy required.
